To be seen or not to be seen!

Seeing the baby's face clearly in a 3D/4D ultrasound scan can occasionaly be a challenge.  Babies sometimes lie with their legs folded up in front of their faces.

Some babies choose to sleep throughout the scan but at lease you can see their faces.

Amniotic fluid is essential for a good 3D / 4D ultrasound scan

The more fluid there is around the fetal face, the clearer the 3D or 4D ultrasound will be.  In the 2D image, as seen on the left, the fluid is visualised as black which acts as a window to assist in obtaining a good 3D or 4D.

This baby didn't seem to be impressed with us during it's 4D scan. It just stuck it's tongue out at us.
